Aquaphobix™ is a non-ablative thermopolymer hull coating applied by licensed dealers as an alternative to traditional bottom paint. Where ablative antifouling paint is engineered to dissolve off the hull and release copper and biocides into the water, Aquaphobix™ bonds to the hull and stays there. Because it is non-ablative, its biocides stay locked inside the coating rather than leaching into the water the way ablative paint does. It is MIL-spec tested, does not have to be sanded and repainted every season, and carries a 5-year transferable warranty.
